NLM has introduced thin sheet continuous casting equipment based on FLEXCASTER™ belt casting technology. As this technology involves direct casting of aluminum sheet from molten aluminum, it consumes little energy and makes possible the manufacture of alloys and high strength, high formability products difficult to produce using conventional casting and rolling processes.
